“An adventure in the unique surroundings of Dalhalla.”
In the summer of 2010, the fantastic surroundings of Dalhalla will be combined with one of Mozart’s most performed and loved operas, The Magic Flute. Stein Winges personal interpretation of The Magic Flute is boundless, ground breaking and timeless.
The work will be performed by opera singers from Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The opera will be performed in Swedish but also translated into English.
An opera performance in Dalhalla is something outstanding, an experience you will never forget. The glorious natural surroundings are part of the stage setting. The beautiful green lake surrounding the stage can be the Mississipi, the Nile or the banks of the Seine. Above the massive walls of the rock, horizons are formed by the irregular line of spruce and pine. And to cap it all, a glittering starry sky above. Opera in Dalhalla is mostly without any amplification, which is quite unique for an outdoor arena. The justifiably famous Dalhalla acoustics are shown here to splendid advantage.

FACTS
Dalhalla is situated 7 km from Rättvik, in the direction of Mora. There are good parking facilities.
The train journey from Stockholm to Rättvik takes app 3 1/2 hours.
Flights are also available to Borlänge and Mora.
In concert evenings there are buses to and from Dalhalla from Falun, Borlänge, Leksand, Tällberg and Rättvik.
All Dalhalla’s facilities are adapted for disabled visitors.
