Music at Lake Siljan
 
The vibrant green of Dalarna in the summer is the setting for eight wonderful days of music around Lake Siljan. For over 40 years Music at Lake Siljan – one of Sweden’s oldest festivals has been providing its audience with a unique meeting of music and culture, with everything from genuine folk music gatherings via classical concerts, jazz and vocal evenings to the latest pop-artists. Music at Lake Siljan also comprises various courses, from folk music for children and youngsters to choral courses and Swedish vocal folk traditions (kulning). Musical and human encounters in the beautiful Siljan countryside.

INFORMATION
A car is recommended since the festival area stretches around Lake Siljan. The area is a 3–4 hour train ride from Stockholm and about 30 min by plane to Borlänge or Mora. A variety of accommodations are available: camping, hostels, and excellent hotels with views overlooking Lake Siljan. The lake has lovely beaches and the area is a paradise for children with activity centers such as Sommarland (water activities), Björnparken (Bear park)and Tomteland (Santa land). Tickets and accommodation reservations and information about places to visit can all be obtained through the Siljan Tourist Office.
